Batik
High school lesson
In my short time in person with high schoolers I was fortunate enough to help them learn an art process called Batik. This lesson was done in connection with a wood burning unit, while 6 students used the burners 6 students created silk paintings with me. It was so great because I learned along with them. One of my ILC student was able to create a silk painting with me. We used a drawing she had already created which alleviated her stress. TQS IIC

Draw/Paint Portrait  Pear Deck Lesson
For all of the Draw/Paint classes I taught this portrait lesson. I wanted my students to be engaged online I created a Pear Deck interactive lesson. The students participated and used icons to vote or show their preferences. They can also write down answers to the questions on the slides. For example they had to title a self portrait by frida kahlo my favorite answer was 'Encroaching Nature'.Â
