Power Point

I used this power point multiple days, editing it as appropriate for the lesson of the day. The first time I did this lesson I used Youtube links to music and played right from the slides. The music styles were not as varied as I wanted. The next time I used Spotify to change up the kid friendly music the most popular type was movie themes(TQS IIC). I listed words on the power point slides to help the 1st graders write post assessment artists statement.(TQS IIIB)

3rd Grade Collagraph lesson

This lesson was so fun to do with my 3rd graders. They were adventurous and got into the whole process. They loved trying out all of the materials. The first step was buliding their collagraphs. After teaching this lesson mulitple times in a row I adapted my lesson plans. I pared down the number of materials we used from 15 to 5 and really focused on the materials that printed well. I also made the base of the collagraph smaller so that the 3rd graders were more successful with filling theri boards with texture.
